We will not send you an automatic acknowledgment of your messages, but rest assured they will be passed onto the relevant people, who will reply to you directly in due course.

A reproduction fee will be charged for any licensed use; a search fee will be charged for multiple requests.

Please note, however, that the copyright of the majority of the images in Insight Guides belongs to individual photographers and picture agencies. We do our best to provide contact details but cannot guarantee to have this information available in all cases.

Editorial vacancies
With more than 600 travel guides and maps in print, our principal need is not for general or aspiring travel writers but for local updaters and researchers to help us maintain the topicality of our titles. It's an essential job but quite different in glamour and skills from that of the traditional travel writer. As well as a detailed knowledge of a destination and its culture, an updater must know how to find information and fact-check thoroughly and efficiently. Clear presentation of information is also important.

As well as sending your CV, please also include details of which destinations you know best and include some short samples of your writing in Insight Guides style.

Feedback
We aim to make our books and maps as reliable and error-free as possible. However, we live in a fast-changing world and would appreciate it if you could let us know of any mistakes, omissions or outdated information that you have spotted. Please include the full name of the Insight Guides book concerned and the date of publication.

We'd also be grateful to hear from you if you've used hotels, restaurants or other amenities listed in our guides, and you'd like to make a special recommendation of any that you've particularly liked (and, even more important, name and shame any that you feel let you down). Listings
The listings sections of our books are checked and revised by our on-the-spot updaters, who make their own assessment of the merits of each hotel, restaurant and other tourist amenities. Space prohibits us from mentioning every business in a destination and we cannot take responsibility for those that might have gone out of business, changed address or otherwise fallen from grace since we last updated the relevant book.

However, if you would like to send us details of your business, or with corrections to existing listings, please mail them to the Insight Guides office, above, or contact Listings. We cannot promise to include your details in our books, but we'll keep the information on file until the next update is due.

Photography
We also update our photography regularly. Photographers should in the first instance contact our Picture Editor. State which destinations you have covered in depth (your stock list).

Imaginative photojournalism that captures the spirit of a place and its people is preferred to traditional travel photography. We also prefer good, old-fashioned transparencies to digital images, which do not tend to work so well for the double-page picture spreads of our Insight Guide series.

Please do not send unsolicited images, as we cannot be held responsible for material lost in the post.

Public relations
If you would like a review copy of any of our books or maps, or have other queries regarding public relations, please send details to Public Relations.

Special sales
Insight Guides can also publish special editions of any of our titles, according to your own specifications. Customised maps and guides are ideal for business travel, conference organisers, tour operators or for general promotions and incentives.
