Orlando On The Go
Flying to Orlando
Most major US and international carriers serve Orlando. Fare prices are competitive, so shop around before buying a ticket. A variety of discount fares and “package deals,” which can significantly cut round-trip rates, are also available. Many scheduled services are supplemented by charter flights.
Orlando (McCoy) International Airport (code MCO) is 9 miles (15 km) south of downtown Orlando and about 25 miles (40 km) from Walt Disney World Resort. Spacious, glittering, and constantly expanding, it has three terminals, with satellite gates reached by “peoplemover” shuttle trains. Disney characters often make appearances during the day.

Getting around Orlando by bus
Like most cities in the United States, public transportation exists in Orlando but offers only infrequent service and only to major destinations. Luckily, this is usually along the tourist route. If you are staying along I-Drive, in Kissimmee or in downtown Orlando, the Lynx bus service is adequate to other major areas only. Ask your hotel which bus takes you where, though be prepared for odd responses - most concierges are never asked for bus information.
Your best bet is to call the Lynx information line at 407-841 5969. Lynx runs a downtown service dubbed Lymmo that circles the city until late in the evening (10pm most nights, midnight on Friday and Saturday).
