Travel Guide Ethiopia

“Our recent trip to Morocco was absolutely wonderful, and working with Mohammed to plan it made the experience even better. My husband and I usually plan most of our own travel, but for certain destinations - such as India, Japan, and now Morocco—we prefer to working with local experts to help us customizie our itinerary exactly the way we want it. We chose Mohammed because his proposal stood out. Although his quote was slightly higher than the others we received, it was far more detailed and included thoughtful hotel recommendations. His customer service was exceptional from the very beginning. Our itinerary included: 2 nights in Marrakesh, 1 night in the Atlas Mountains, 1 night in the Sahara Desert, 2 nights in Fez, 1 night in Chefchaouen, 1 night in Casablanca and 1 final night in Marrakesh before flying home Marrakesh was lively and fast paced, full of energy and bustling souks (watch out for the motor bikes). The Atlas Mountains were calm and scenic, offering a peaceful break from the cities. The Sahara Desert was completely unique, especially riding camels across the dunes and staying in a luxury desert camp. Fez felt the most historic and intimate, with its ancient medina, deep traditions, and smaller, narrow alleys that made getting lost in one of its 9,000 passages a memorable experience. Chefchaouen was the most charming and visually striking with its blue washed streets set along a beautiful mountainside. Casablanca stood out as the most business like and somewhat gritty, offering a very different side of Morocco. We wanted to experience the diversity of Morocco rather than focus on just one or two cities, and having a private driver throughout the entire trip made this possible. It allowed us to travel comfortably, see the countryside, and truly appreciate the beauty of the country. Mohammed was a pleasure to work with - patient, responsive, and always willing to provide honest feedback. I asked many questions and requested numerous recommendations, and he consistently offered helpful guidance. I especially wanted to stay in riads for an authentic Moroccan experience, and his suggestions were excellent. One riad in Chefchaouen was fully booked, but he recommended an alternative with even better reviews, and it ended up being our favorite accommodation of the entire trip. Our favorite cities were Fez and Chefchaouen, and visiting the Sahara Desert is an absolute must. The camel ride and luxury desert camp were truly once in a lifetime experiences. We added a food tour in Fez at the last minute, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our guide was warm, incredibly knowledgeable, and made the experience so much fun. She led us through the medina, stopping at hidden spots and local favorites where we tried an amazing variety of food. It was a memorable, delicious, and truly magical way to experience Fez. We did encounter a small hiccup with our driver, but Mohammed addressed the issue immediately and always kept our best interests in mind. Another thing that made us feel at ease is Mohammed is available if you should ever need to reach him during your trip. If you’re planning a trip to Morocco, I highly recommend working with Mohammed. He is a true travel expert, a joy to collaborate with, and will help you create the perfect itinerary for your needs. Our time in Morocco was unforgettable - the people were welcoming, the history and culture were fascinating, and the country itself is stunning. It deserves a place on everyone’s bucket list”

“We absolutely loved the itinerary Habiba put together for our Egypt trip! She was always so kind and quick to answer any questions we had. She even checked in on us during our vacation. I’d definitely book another adventure with Insight Guides.”

“We used Insight Guides to book a safari holiday to Kenya using 'Beyond The Plains Safaris'. I would highly recommend to others and will use the company again when wanting to organise similar holidays in the future. The communication with the local agent was great. Arrangements for booking and payment etc clear and worked well and we felt comfortable having the backing of a company of insight guides rather than going to direct to a local agent. The local agent was brilliant and the holiday itself excellent.”

“Our trip to Madagascar was excellent, the drivers, local guides, the accommodations and the meals all exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend insight guides to help anyone plan their next adventure.”

“Ahmed has been very proactive in assisting me with my itinerary for Egypt and Jordan. He listens to my questions, suggestions and initial ideas. He has been prompt in responding and altering accommodations and activities to help me achieve the trip of my dreams We are still a work in progress but getting very close to a final product. I'm very impressed with Ahmed's professionalism.”

“We're thrilled to be able to add our voice to the enthusiastic reviews of Insight Guides and Tilila Travel for tailor-made tours of Morocco. From our first interchange with Mohammed at Tilila Travel, we were impressed with his understanding of what we wanted and the way that he accommodated that into an itinerary that really felt tailored to our needs. He also was willing to modify it as we went along to make it even closer to what we wanted. His welcome and appearance at the end made it feel personal indeed. Yassin was our excellent and knowledgeable guide and companion who drove us on our 13-day trip that began in Casablanca and went up to Rabat and Tangier and down through Tetuan and Chefchouen, on to Meknes and Fes, and finally to Ouzoud Falls and Marrakech. He made sure that our local guides in each place took us to what we wanted to see and that they explained to us what most interested us. He was responsive to our requests for spontaneous experiences along the way and proudly showed us the fine details of his country. A veritable pleasure. The local guides were well-chosen experts and we particularly enjoyed the ones who led us through Tangiers, Chefchouen and Fes, both because of their knowledge and their sharing of their experiences growing up in the neighborhoods we were discovering. We had two great cooking classes, stays in excellent hotels, and wonderful meals in restaurants often recommended by Yassin, Mohammed, or the guides. We would highly recommend both Insight Guides and Tilila Travel to anyone who wants to delve into the culture and history of Morocco with attention to their personal interests. Memories to be cherished.”
