Question 1

What trips do you enjoy planning most?

Accepted Answer

The ones where someone hands me a reason instead of a list. An anniversary, a first trip after a long wait, two people who want to be alone somewhere beautiful. That is when design actually matters, because the decisions stop being about sights and start being about how a day should feel. I would rather build a trip with four good ideas in it than one that covers everything and touches nothing.

What kind of traveler are you the best fit for and who may not be?

Accepted Answer

I work best with travelers who want the trip handled from start to finish and who prefer a clear recommendation over a list of options to research themselves. You tell me what matters to you, and I build around it: accommodation, private transport, guides, experiences and support on the ground, all in one plan. What I do not do is sell parts of a trip. If you only need a couple of hotel nights or a single transfer, that is not where I add value.

What’s your ideal 7–10 day route and why?

Accepted Answer

Athens first, three nights, then one island for the rest, or Crete split between two bases. Athens gives you the frame: the Acropolis, the museums, the food, all in a walkable city. After that I would rather you settle somewhere than keep moving. Two bases in ten days means you unpack twice, eat somewhere good more than once, and see the parts of an island that are nowhere near the port. Three islands is travel, not a trip.

What do travelers most often change in your first proposal?

Accepted Answer

They want to add. One more island, one more day trip, one more thing a friend mentioned. It is a natural reaction to a proposal that feels calmer than what they pictured. So I show what the addition actually costs, usually in hours and energy rather than money, and we decide together whether it earns its place. Some do. The trips that come back best are the ones where we did not fill every gap.

Which regions do you love combining and which do you avoid?

Accepted Answer

Athens with the Cyclades, choosing the island for the traveler rather than for the name. Mykonos and Santorini work beautifully together when you have the days for them and the trip is built so each one gives you something the other cannot. Athens with Crete is the other structure I love, Chania and Heraklion as two very different bases on one island, no ferries in between. What I avoid is mixing the Ionian islands with the Cyclades, where the connections eat the trip.

What’s a common first-time visitor mistake and how do you prevent it?

Accepted Answer

Treating Greece like a country you can drive across. Islands look close on a map, so people plan them as short hops and then lose half of every travel day to ports and check-ins. I prevent it by setting the shape of the trip before the wish list goes in: how many bases, how many nights in each, what is realistic for the season you are traveling in. The wish list then fits inside a structure that actually works.

What are 3 local experiences most visitors miss?

Accepted Answer

Eating where the season decides the menu rather than a printed card, which usually means a family taverna in a village nobody books ahead. A morning with a small producer, olive oil or wine, during real work rather than a tasting laid on for visitors. And a late afternoon at a major site with a guide who is a historian, at the hour when the light is best and most of the crowd has gone.

When do you recommend slowing down and what would that day look like?

Accepted Answer

On your second full day on the island, not the last one. Most people load the island up front with boat trips and sunset drives, then run out of energy when the best part of the trip is still ahead. That day: no alarm, a late breakfast, a beach that takes a short drive to reach so it is not the one everyone walks to, a long lunch inland where the menu changes with the season, and nothing scheduled after it.
