DAY 1

Arrival in Cape Town and Yacht Excursion

You will be met by our guide upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, from where you will be transferred to your accommodation. Time and weather permitting, we'll take you on a yacht excursion across Table Bay towards Milnerton Lighthouse. In the valley of Table Mountain, you'll gaze upon a startling sunset over the Atlantic Ocean. If the yacht trip isn't feasible, other options include a city walking or cycling tour. In the evening, we'll head out to a local restaurant, for what will be a festive occasion celebrating your arrival in Cape Town.

DAY 2

Table Mountain Ascent and Bicycle Induction

Following a sumptuous breakfast, we'll set out on an excursion up Table Mountain, which can either be ascended by aerial cable car or on foot. The hike is a great option for the adventurous who enjoy venturing up steep rocky climbs. Much of the hiking trail follows the line of the aerial car. Offering great views of Lion’s Head and Signal Hill, and the Atlantic Ocean and Camps Bay below, this 90-minute walk will take you past marshy frog breeding areas with some endemic vegetation. Once we reach the peak of Table Mountain, we meander along to Maclears Beacon, the highest point on the mountain. Descent by aerial car and prep for a 15-km bike ride, which will take you along an up-and-down gravel road down Tafelberg Road to the King's Blockhouse, from where you will descend down to Rhodes Memorial. Here you shall enjoy a well-deserved snack in the tea garden, where you can admire the view of the city before heading back.

Climbing to a height of 600m, and riding a distance of 10km, you will reach the top of the pass, which affords unforgettable views of the Outeniqua. Dinner and overnight stay will be provided at a quaint guesthouse in the remote village of Herold.
