Meet on arrival at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport, and transfer to hotel.City tour (time depends on arrival time): visit the Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university, the Fine Arts Museum (closed on Mondays, if Day 1 falls on a Monday it will be replaced with another site) and Quan Thanh Te.In the evening, enjoy the Water Puppet Show, a unique Vietnamese traditional art form.

Today’s visits in Hanoi includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Mondays, Fridays and from October to November for maintenance) and his former residence, which continues to the One-Pillar Pagoda and Army Museum (closed on Mondays). It can be skipped or replaced by another site, for example, Ethnography Museum, depending on interest).

Take a dragon boat and cruise along the Perfume River passing Dong Ba market to Thien Mu Pagoda, then visit the vestiges of the royal residence at the Imperial City.In the afternoon, depart from Hue for Hoi An via the picturesque Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds) moving through many pretty red-tiled villages and enjoying a spectacular view of the sea and the sky.
