About this photo
As you drive along the roads in New England during the months of September, October and November you will see the trees standing out from the lush green grass and the clear blue sky, with shades of orange, yellow and red. These are the autumn colours that so many travel to see from all over the world, a ritual known as leaf-peeping. It is a ritual loved by the multitude of people in the tourist industry and loathed by some local people because of the traffic it causes.
