About this photo

Yesterday, January 5, marked the Cabalgata de Reyes in Spain. The parade in the city included come 1,700 floats and extras, making for an impressive spectacle. Here, one of the kings receives gift requests from local children, a main part of the festivities.

The event’s origins date back to at least the 19th-Century, with the oldest celebrations considered to have started in Alicante.
