Yesterday, January 5, marked the Cabalgata de Reyes in Spain. Here, the three-famed kings Melchior, Caspar and Balthasar toured Las Palmas, the capital city of Gran Canaria, as part of a nationwide celebration. The parade in the city included come 1,700 floats and extras, making for an impressive spectacle. Here, one of the kings receives gift requests from local children, a main part of the festivities.

The event’s origins date back to at least the 19th-Century, with the oldest celebrations considered to have started in Alicante.
