Evzone guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Syntagma Square, Athens, Greece. Dressed in service uniform, Evzones are members of the Presidential Guard, an elite ceremonial unit made up of volunteers from the Hellenic Army's Infantry Corps. They also guard the Presidential mansion and the gate of Evzones camp in the capital.

The tomb of the unknown soldier was sculpted in 1930-32 as a memorial to the Greek soldiers who fought during World War I. Tour Athens on Insight Guides' Athens: City of God trip.
