Osaka's newest and brashest addition to its western waterfront is the Universal Studios Japan theme park. Water taxis and a shuttle train whisk visitors to the park, where simulated rides include the special effects found on the recreated sets of Harry Potter or Jurassic Park. In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter you can visit Hogwarts Castle: Dumbledore's office, or the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom before embarking on an exhilarating 4K3D ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey above the Hogwarts towers to try and catch the Golden Snitch. The castle overlooks the village of Hogsmeade, where both wizards and muggles can buy their favourite Chocolate Frogs treats and butterbeer at the many shops and 'pubs'.
