Here, you can see Kek Lok Si Temple looking out towards the modern skyline of Penang in Malaysia. Built in 1891, Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple, and one of the most elegant of its kind in Southeast Asia; Buddhists from all over the region make the pilgrimage here. Kek Lok Si is also the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia. The most striking part of the temple complex is the central pagoda, named after Rama VI, which features an impressive 10,000 alabaster and bronze statues of Buddha. Inside the complex, there are millions more images and carvings of the Buddha.
