About this photo
Kerið is a lake in south Iceland that was formed by a volcanic eruption many thousands of years ago. The lake, due to mineral deposits from the soil, has turned a strikingly vivid shade of aquamarine. 55m deep and around 3,000 years old, the crater makes for a dramatic must-see on your trip.
