The highland Toraja tribes of South Sulawesi, Indonesia, are known for their elaborate death rituals. Interspersing rice paddies are cave tombs with rows of wooden effigies, which stare eerily from suspended balconies like sentries of their stony graves.

Our Indonesia trip was amazing thanks to our trip planner, Liz, and the rest of the team! We had a wonderful itinerary packed with all the adventures we could fit, wonderful guides and activities and perfect hotels. The trip was even more memorable than we could have imagined. We had one incident where a bag was inadvertently left at the last hotel by the staff (no fault of the travel agency) and the travel agent went out of their way to ensure it was sent immediately by a rushed courier to the airport in time for our flight and at no cost to us. I would definitely use Insight Guides for a future trip for the piece of mind and local expertise.
