The sun breaks through the clouds on a mountain along Iceland's Laugavegur hiking trail. This particular section is in the southwest of the country, between Landmannalaugar and Þórsmörk. The Laugavegur hiking trail is scenically stunning but also well trodden. If you step off the beaten track though, you are unlikely to encounter another soul. You can stay along the route in huts, or camp with your own tent.
