About this photo

Larger than Buenos Aires and taller than the city's obelisk, this glacier is Patagonia's most awe-inspiring sight and is located in Argentina's Los Glaciares National Park, in the southern Patagonian ice field. It spans a huge 250 km squared and is still advancing. Seeing shards break off the main wall and crash to the lake below is an unforgettable experience.
