About this photo
Cambodia's central lowland plains are largely agricultural with cultivated fields of rice, maize, tobacco and, in some places, rubber plantations. Outside this area, the land is thinly forested with scrub-like areas of reeds and grasses covering large areas. Here is where Cambodian buffalo graze. Buffalo are used in agriculture to pull ploughs to cultivate farmland. They are also farmed for meat. Explore Cambodia on Insight Guides' Siem Reap to Angkor trip.
