About this photo

Suspended 22 metres high, a 128-metre walkway joins two Supertrees in Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay, Singapore. Walk among the trees, surrounded by living botanicals, or journey up to the OCBC Skyway for views over the gardens. Get up close to the living plants supported by the Supertrees' trunks and enjoy the shade of their wide canopies. Journey higher still to the treetops for even better views over the garden and across the bay to the city.

There are 18 Supertrees in Gardens by the Bay (all between 25 and 50 metres tall), 11 of these trees are environmentally sustainable with photovoltaic cells hidden in their structures; in short, they harvest solar energy. Visit Gardens by the Bay and explore the man-made trees for yourself on Day 5 of Insight Guides' Singapore Family Fun holiday.
