Berlin's Fernsehturm (Television Tower) stands tall on Alexanderplatz, once one of the city’s great squares. Alexanderplatz was almost completely destroyed in World War II. To enjoy one of the best views of the Berlin skyline, take the ride up the Fernsehturm (daily 9am–midnight, from 10am Nov–Feb). At the top there is a revolving café, which offers impressive views of Berlin and the surrounding countryside.
