About this photo

Lovely Honfleur is one of the highlights of the Côte Fleurie (Floral Coast) in Normandy, a Parisian favourite for a quick seaside escape. Allegedly the birthplace of impressionism, Honfleur is home to some great museums and many little galleries to browse. Sampling moules frites at an outdoor table by the harbour is a delightful French holiday experience, but save room for sweet treats to finish. Those featuring salted toffee are a local speciality.

Honfleur may be very busy during peak seasons, but it never loses its charm or strong visual impression, no doubt thanks to the endlessly picturesque buildings. Day seven of our Northern France: City to Coast tour takes you to this picturesque town, where you can explore the charming art galleries and multitude of small shops with that certain je ne sais quoi at your leisure. Our local experts can also help you avoid the crowds and high-seasons too.
