Thailand is home to some of the world’s most impressive infinity pools. From Bangkok to Chiang Rai and Koh Yao Yai, we’ve uncovered the very best bathing spots for you to swoon over

1. Koh Yao Yai Village

Only a 30-minute boat trip from the tourist hotspot of Phuket lies Koh Yao Yai Village. Located on – you guessed it – Koh Yao Yai, the beach-front villas and sea-view bungalows make for the ideal spot to rest and recharge.

Home to two infinity pools – boasting views of lush jungles, golden beaches and the tranquil ocean – they only shore up the luxurious setting. Known for its peaceful atmosphere, the resort’s Jacuzzi, swim-up bar and Kao Spa make this the perfect place to sit back and relax.

2. Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, Bangkok

Bangkok can get pretty muggy. With April temperatures regularly hitting 31°C, it’s safe to say having a hotel with somewhere to cool off is a necessity. The best way to spend your days is lounging by the poolside to be recharged and energised for evening and night-time activities when temperatures are more manageable.

Located on the 14th floor of the Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn, this infinity pool offers striking views across Bangkok’s chaotic cityscape. For travellers feeling active, there’s also a fitness suite at the same height, providing panoramas while you work-out.

Switch-up hotels on either Insight Guides' Bangkok Sustainable Trails trip or our Bangkok Gourmet holiday, to experience these views for yourself.

3. U Zenmaya, Phuket

Located close to Phuket’s raucous nightlife, but far enough away to feel pleasant, U Zenmaya Phuket comes recommended from both our local experts and by travellers having taken an Insight Guides trip. This boutique hotel is a world away from Thailand’s many high-rise resorts and features local charm, friendly service, as well as personal touches.

Rooms come with access to a Jacuzzi, located on private balconies, or a swimming pool. As well as this, an infinity pool is accessible to all guests, with breathtaking views over the Andaman Sea and across to neighbouring islands.

4. Sunset Hill Resort, Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is world-famous for its hectic half and full moon parties but there’s still plenty of places to escape to on this beautiful Thai island.

Sunset Hill Resort, overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, offers the perfect retreat. We can't find a better place to watch the sunset than from the hotel’s seemingly-endless infinity pool. Also home to a Jacuzzi, poolbar, sunbathing garden and the occasional pool party, you’d be excused for never wanting to leave.

Add an unforgettable stay here to Insight Guides' The Best of Thailand holiday. It's safe to say, you won't regret it.

5. Anantara Golden Triangle Resort, Northern Thailand

An infinity pool needn’t overlook the ocean to make it world-class. Located north of Chiang Rai, Anantara Golden Triangle Resort is remote, rugged but seriously relaxing. With panoramic views of wild, lush jungles and mountains stretching across to Myanmar and Laos, you’d be forgiven for ogling by the poolside all day.

When you manage to drag yourself away, the resort’s on-site spa will indulge you further, with a huge range of relaxing treatments and traditional therapies.
