Two cable car systems packed with hundreds of gondolas whisk visitors from Hong Kong lowlands to Ocean Park up on the headlands, offering fabulous views along the way. Ocean Park is a great day out for the whole family, a theme park with highlights such as the stunning Aqua City, with the Grand Aquarium at its centre – a mesmerising walk-through descending four-storeys underwater and featuring rays and sharks among others – and habitats for both kinds of Chinese panda (the famous giant black-and-white variety and the lesser-seen red panda, also from China). Seals and sea lions, can be seen, as well as dolphins.
