About this photo

Roasted and deep-fried insects and bugs are considered a delicacy in China along with many other dishes and snacks that are not available in western countries. Dog meat, sharks, offal from all animals and fish can be found stewed or fried on skewers alongside scorpions, sea urchins, silk worms and snakes. All these snack foods are available from street vendors in Beijing, most notably on Wangfujing Snack Street.
