As other trails have become overpopulated, the Cordillera Huayhuash range in the Peruvian Andes has gained a reputation as the most challenging and beautiful trekking destination in the country. The range is home to seven peaks over 6000 metres, across a 30-km stretch. The Cordillera Huayhuash trek is more demanding than the infamous Inca Trail, taking between 10 and 14 days to complete. You will pass glacial lakes, hot springs and spot wildlife such as condors and llamas. Views stretch in front and below for miles, across to endless mountain peaks.
