A blanket of fog engulfs Dubai Marina, a city within a city comprised of skyscrapers built over the last five years. Even by Dubai's standards, the speed and scale of the development here is notable. 10 years ago, this area was little more than untouched desert, except for a few hotels. Today, the Walk and upmarket beachside hotels draw crowds to the Marina. The Walk is promenade where visitors can admire glamorous yachts and speedboats in the Marina from.
