Welcome back to The Insight Guides podcast. For episode three we are taking a thrilling journey aboard the Trans-Siberian Railway.

We speak to award-winning railway author, historian and broadcaster, Christian Wolmar, who has his own personal connection to Russia. His father was born in Moscow and fought for Russia during World War I.

Christian talks us through the changing political history of Russia, and discusses how the Trans-Siberian Railway affected global relationships. He also delves into his favourite parts of travelling on the train, including the scenic backdrops of Vladivostok.
